Emptying the Mind

Einstein himself said that he didn't arrive at his theory via the conventional reasoning process. Receiving it all in simultaneity, he had to write it long-hand for his readers. The same with Mozart, the symphony was presented as a whole in his mind, and he had to notate it so that musicians could play it ... astonishingly to Salieri, without making a single error in the manuscript.
..
There are many who believe that they are what goes on in the finite brain. But we are much, much more than this. It is possible by a process of meditation to remove the attention from the head into full body awareness, a yoga practice known in the east for many generations. Disconnecting from the thinking mind is not only one way of curing insomnia, but also a method of overcoming the tyranny its thinking. For most of us are on autopilot, ideas come and go in succession, each one connected to the one prior by similarities in time, space or emotion.
 ..
The nervous system is a relatively recent evolute, as a Will to develop consciousness. A product of fear, it's instruments ... the 5 senses ... help us logically navigate through dangers, and it enables us to delegate certain automatic processes leaving us free to develop other aspects of our Will. Fundamentally we are that Will.
 ..
Consciousness is ubiquitous, meaning it's everywhere. A stone cannot express it very well, because it doesn't have the internal organisation which would free it for higher thought.
