smallpox

Some people point to the decline of smallpox as being due to the success of the World Health Organisation's program of eradication by vaccination. This and other graphs from dissolvingillusions.com  show the fallacy of such belief.

Already, before the introduction of the vaccine, deaths were declining. And following its introduction there were unexplained rises in numbers of deaths which interrupted the general downward trend.

Notice, too,  the dramatic rise in deaths following the more stringent law on vaccination.
