misrepresentation of the efficacy of measles jabs

Measles: Parents are told of the world death rate from measles, but are not told that these deaths are in places like Africa. Certainly nowhere near as high in the UK. Cod liver oil has vitamin A and it is key to recovery from measles. We used to have measles parties so that every child would get it and create a herd immunity. 

Measles virus uses up an enormous amount of the body's vitamin A. Could it be that the problems of deafness, etc. suffered by the child is an indirect result of  the measles itself ... the ensuing lack of vitamin A? 

The measles vaccine was introduced when the incidence of death from measles was close to zero. Improved food, child labour laws, and plumbers separating sewage from drinking water meant that the child's vitality was vastly improved, enabling it to deal more effectively with childhood illness. The death rate was almost down to nil, even before antibiotics and inoculations were introduced. In the graph, 'pertussis' is another name for whooping cough.
